Liverpool RISE Up - Fantastic Funding Announcement for Phase 2

We are delighted to announce that the Youth Sport Trust and Sport England are funding the second phase of our ‘Liverpool RISE Up’ programme.

This is fantastic news for the young people and teachers in our 3 existing schools, and in 6 new schools in Liverpool, as well as for us, as we can continue to support our brilliant partners without impacting their school budgets.

Welcome

We would like to officially welcome our new colleagues to our community of like minded professionals, who are all committed to transforming children’s life chances.

“Our collective vision, with and through schools and partners, is to make Liverpool the leading city for Trauma Informed PE in the country, to transform children’s life chances.”

As part of the funding package each new school receives:

  1. Unlimited staff access to our RISE Up early intervention mental wellbeing teacher training course with editable resources.

  2. Unlimited staff access to our Trauma Informed PE teacher training course.

  3. In person and online support.

  4. A celebration event in the summer term for their young people.

Schools have the agency to implement the programme in a way that best suits the needs of their young people and setting as no one knows their young people better than their teachers and parents/carers.

We will be creating case studies on each school throughout the rest of the year to celebrate their great work and sharing with our wider Future Action community how they have transformed the mental wellbeing of their young people.

Getting to know our new schools

We have been spending time in Liverpool learning about our new schools and their needs and continuing to support our three brilliant existing schools.

We have been meeting with strategic partners like Anthony Judge at the Youth Sport Trust and building on our existing relationships with Liverpool School Sports Partnership, School Improvement Liverpool, and the Liverpool HEARTS project to help meet the needs of Liverpool's young people and valued colleagues.
