Liverpool Rising Up

We are delighted to share the highlights of our recent celebration event for the 'Liverpool RISE Up' programme, held at Childwall Academy in collaboration with the Liverpool School Sports Partnership.

This event brought together young people from Belvedere Academy, Kings Leadership Academy Liverpool and the Academy of St Francis of Assisi for a day filled with physical activities and plenty of fun. Let's take a closer look at the day's events!

A Day of Active Learning

Young people participated in four RISE physical activities, each designed to promote the link between physical activity and mental wellbeing.

Energiser Activity

The day started with a high-energy session of Raving 'Fit.' 🎶💪 Young people danced and created their own motifs, setting a lively tone for the day ahead.

Inclusive Team Activity

Inclusivity took centre stage with Kinball, an activity designed to foster a strong sense of belonging among all participants, through teamwork and cooperation. 🏐

Fitness Suite Fun

Young people had the chance to enjoy Fitness Suite activities aimed at relieving stress and expanding their window of tolerance. Repeater and Stress Buster Activities were on the menu, providing a relaxing yet challenging experience. 💪😌

Inspired by Liverpool’s Own Hero

Over lunch, we hosted confidence-building activities inspired by the remarkable story of Liverpool's own ‘Meatball Molly’ McCann, a local hero and inspiration to many. 🥊💬

Colour Run Connection

The day culminated in a joyous colour run, where young people and staff celebrated their achievements and formed deeper connections with each other. This colourful event was a fitting finale, emphasising fun, connection, and belonging as we dodged the rain!

We loved the positive comments and smiles from our young people and teachers throughout the day.

Celebrating Achievements

We want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible achievements of our partner schools and the Liverpool School Sports Partnership. Together, they've achieved remarkable results for young people, making a positive impact on their lives and futures. Their whole school plans moving forward are incredibly exciting. 🌟

Gratitude and Acknowledgment

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Childwall Academy for hosting this memorable event, our hero PE teachers, the brilliant Liverpool School Sports Partnership team, the Youth Sports Trust for funding the pilot, and School Improvement Liverpool who all played crucial roles in making this pilot programme a success. 🙌
